Second time round

Hello friends,

I have tried several messages to 'the blog people' but had no replies so have decided to start again.

The address remains the same so I hope very much it will shortly begin to work.

Wish me luck!

Best wishes,

Philip

  1. Philip, congratulations! This first story is fantastic, it's strong and feelings pour in every sentence; there is a flow that keeps you expecting "What comes next?". I loved it and am looking forward to the next ones.

  3. Great little cameos of other lives (human and animal). I liked your courage in the first story to address with honesty the rejection of a child by his mother: something that is considered beyond the pale by society. The levity of the third story was refreshing after the dark mood of the first two. Well done - I'm hooked!

  4. Have just read stories 4,5 and 6. Your hospital tales are touching, and obviously draw on personal experience (you can tell how long ago it was by the reference to canvas stretchers with poles - isn't it all trolley beds nowadays?)Your old ladies are all very polite and well-spoken (a reflection of Guildford?)
Story 6 had a surprise ending - the protagonist gets jolted out of her safety zone and gets a life it seems!
